Free software; create, modify and share 3D models.

Blender: Open source 3D creation suite that supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline including animation.
OnShape: A collaborative Cloud-based parametric CAD tool similar to industry-standard engineering CAD software. (free if you register with .edu email address)
