The Western Queens Food Co-op mission is to provide local, fresh, affordable, sustainable and culturally relevant food through a food cooperative in Western Queens. They are in their second year of organizing to make the Co-op a reality in 3 to 5 years. They will work with local food sources to provide the Queens community with an option other than corporate supermarkets and one that is mutually responsible to the community and the earth.
