Library Sponsored Write-In for 500 Words of Octoberlaptop which says 500 Words of October on screen

Novelist Jami Attenberg invented 1000 words of summer, where people commit to writing 1000 words a day, every day, for two weeks. You can read more about it on her Substack.

One thousand words is a lot. Especially during the semester. So why not try 500 words a day? And you're not alone. The library is here to support you with books, in-person events, virtual events, and giveaways. Spend 500 words on your creative projects. Or anything that interests you. Not forever. Just for some of October.
