Hello LaGuardia faculty,
While the Library is working to support your students, don’t forget that we’re here for you as well.
Faculty and staff can email us or make an appointment to talk if you have particular questions related to scholarly publishing. You might want to know what a Creative Commons license is, whether a journal you’ve found is one of those “predatory journals,” or how to find a journal to publish in to begin with. If we don't know the answer, we'll help you find someone who does.
CUNY is also offering webinars on topics such as “Predatory” Journals: How to Avoid the Shams and Scams, and Open Access Explained: Best Practices for Finding Others’ Research and Publicly Sharing Yours. Check out the calendar for more information and to register.
Our (mostly) monthly podcast "Teahouse Chats" about scholarly publishing is back this Fall with new episodes coming at the end of Sept. The latest episode is on this guide and you'll find more on the podcast website.
We look forward to helping you move forward with your scholarly publication efforts.
Happy publishing,
The LaGuardia Scholarly Publishing Teahouse Librarians
